To fully grasp how I can help you, it may be helpful for you to know more about me, how I live my life, and what brought me to this healing work.
Healing preferences:
- I sit on the other side of the couch a lot! When I am not playing the role of counselor, I am in the role of student, patient, and client.
- I am incredibly selective with who is on my success team and love the benefits I receive from social work, case supervision, business coaching, hypnosis, and NLP.
- I work with a naturopathic doctor and believe in the body’s innate ability to heal. I do not use any drugs of any kind.
- I am an avid reader and love to learn from those teachers who share their wisdom and experiences through their books.
- I do my best to keep my diet healthy and have lots of food sensitivities. I love the taste of wheatgrass and prefer kangen water.
- I believe in surrounding myself with those people whom I admire, respect, and aspire to be like.
Things you may be surprised to know about me:
- I am a huge football fan. My boyfriend and I love the Giants. I love Mike Tomlin’s energy and coaching style, appreciate Larry Fitzgerald’s humility, Eli Manning’s generosity, Ray Lewis’s enthusiasm, and consider Bill Parcells to be one of my greatest teachers.
- I do not read the news or watch a lot of television, because after I do, I am depressed, hungry, and feel sick. Of course, exceptions are made for Jersey Shore and Real Housewives (my guilty pleasures!).
- I listen to rap music and love Kanye West. His songs have found their way on to both my success and workout playlists!
- I am a fan of Howard Stern because of his relationship with the energy of truth and his support of counseling (many of my clients must use him as a gauge as I get asked this question a lot living in the New York metropolitan area).
- I also like Howard’s wife Beth and her dedication to helping animals in need.
- I do not wear a watch and do not like the way jewelry feels on my skin.
- Yes, I use curse words (although not often) and I do get angry.
- I credit my dog, Kasha, to being one of the greatest teachers in my life. She is a great model of Love, Joy, and Present-moment Consciousness.
- I am the same person in my personal life that I am in my professional life (with different boundaries) and do my best to experience harmony in all areas of my life.
Counseling:
- I really understand and value the therapeutic relationship, both as a counselor and as a client.
- I work really hard and am fully committed to my work. Yet, because I love what I do, I do not feel like I work at all.
- I truly believe in my gifts and am so blessed to know that I am living my life’s purpose on purpose.
- I am a featured author in the book, So You Want To Be A Counselor, by Barbara Nefer.
My spirituality:
- I see/hear/feel/sense Angels everywhere and keep a continuous dialogue with them all day long.
- I take soul vacations at least once a day.
- I would rather explore unknown aspects of myself then travel to far and distant countries.
- I believe in the healing power of hugs!
- I believe that we can give every person that we cross paths with a gift, be it a smile, eye contact, time, or an authentic compliment.
- I am stubborn and aware that My Angels have to embody a lot of patience to guard and guide me! I do try to make it entertaining and fun for them as they have to be with me my whole life.
- I know that The Divine wants for me everything that I want for myself.
- I begin every day with gratitude, I end every day with gratitude, and I always do my best in between.
- I throw lots of gutter balls and include “mistakes,” failures, and rejection in my formula for success. I do not believe in mistakes, only opportunities to grow.
- I have learned that sometimes the greatest answer to a prayer is No!
- I believe that soul mates are our greatest teachers and that they arrive in our lives in many different ways at very important times.
- The greatest gifts I have received are when someone shares their world with me.
- I believe we are here to experience the highest vision we hold for ourselves in our mind, heart, and soul.
- I believe that there is an Angel for everything! No task is too big or too small. Because they KNOW, nothing is difficult for them.
